Frequently Asked Questions

What is the UC Irvine Outreach Clinics?

The UC Irvine Outreach Clinics is a student-run initiative to provide free high quality health care to the underserved and uninsured populations in Orange County.

How do I know if I am eligible to become a patient at UC Irvine Outreach Clinics?

If you are an Orange County resident and are uninsured and have low or no income, please visit the websites for MediCal (http://www.caloptima.org) and MSI (http://www.ochealthinfo.com/medical/msi/faq-patient.htm#1) to see if you qualify for either of these government-sponsored programs. If you do qualify, you can be seen at any community clinic that takes MediCal and MSI.

The UC Irvine Outreach Clinic at the Village of Hope is specifically for those patients who do NOT qualify for these programs. Because of this, we will need to get a determination of your eligibility by first having you register at the Hurtt Family Clinic. If you do qualify for MediCal or MSI, you can make an appointment directly with the Hurtt Family Clinic. If you do not qualify for MediCal or MSI, you are eligible to become a patient at the UC Irvine Outreach Clinic.

How do I make an appointment with the Hurtt Family Clinic?

If you would like to be seen at the Hurtt Family Clinic at the Village of Hope, please call (714) 247-0300 to make an appointment. You will be asked to come in to register, at which time an eligibility worker will determine whether or not you qualify for any of these government-sponsored programs.
